In Case You Were Wondering …
what on earth Ryan North could do to follow up Project Wonderful, how about saving Wikipedia from itself?
RYAN YOU HAVE TO STOP HAVING IDEAS FOR A LITTLE WHILE WE CANNOT KEEP UP WITH YOU!!

While somewhat funny, is actively encouraging vandalism of another site going to accomplish anything more than ill will and resentment?

And per the Wikipedia discussion page on chickens, the topic was already protected before Ryan’s suggestion.

Well, the history of the page indicates a few attacks got through before they put the page under protection, and a quick perusal indicates a few other related pages got hit.
That said, I certainly don’t think Mr. North meant it as a serious attempt to organize a mass assault on Wikipedia – but I can see a lot of fans taking it much more to heart and go a-vandalizing away.

he’s already done it with irish evil (try it yourself! It is funnier to put irish evil instead of plain evil… in every single entry!)

The entry will be locked until someone can accurately describe the taste of chicken.

It probably won’t matter that he doesn’t mean for the chicken entry to actually be vandalized, quite a few readers will probably try to do it anyway, particularly those who don’t like Wikipedia (which seems to be an increasing number these days).
Still it’s probably a good pr-stunt, everything regarding wikipedia seems to cause controversy -> links recently.
