The Watchmen reference is on the Yarmulke (read: “Jew Hat”) that one of the D & D players is wearing in 15 / 16. There really are smiley face ones out there, but for added humor it’s got a red blood stain, like the smiley face logo seen in Watchmen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watchmen).
