Hey, 384kbs is better than what we had back in the day. Back in the day when I had to keep each panel of a three-panel comic under 12k so that those 14.4 kbps modems could view them in a few minutes.
Why I remember dialing in uphill both ways on a landline that kept knocking me off because the modem wouldn’t accept the “disable call waiting” code…
